The Last Month

It's been a month since the last post, and we've gotten a fair amount done. First, we finished tearing out the facade, it was great to see the ceiling come crashing down, our neighbors even yelled in from outside, "are you OK in there" from the loud crashes and dust flying everywhere. Here's the the front now looks like (with temporary railings installed by austin to make sure no one falls into the basement):

With a lot of help from David we also got all the drywall down off the ceiling:

But, the main project of the last month has been replacing a structure over our back stairs that had fire and water damage. We needed to completely tear it down and rebuild it so that we could get the back roof re-done. After about 2 weeks straight of work on that, here's what it now looks like from the inside:

Also, we had a mason come put glass block windows in the back and a new back door (since the old one fell out :-)...
