Re-use

We are fortunate enough to have fir hardwood floors that can be salvaged on the first floor. We do have some areas, however, that have water damage and some other areas that just need to be patched. So, we are tearing up the hardwood in the area the kitchen and bathrooms will be so that we can re-use it in other place. This process is quite tedious in that we not only have to tear the wood up piece by piece, but we have to remove all the nails and staples (from when there was carpet over it). But, we're going piece by piece until it's all done.
Here are the pieces ready for de-nailing:Here is the first 3 rows removed, that took about an hour!
And here is Austin, working hard as usual...

I just took my deck apart piece by piece. Do yourself a favor and look into a Nail Jack or Nail Hunter. Lot's of time, money, resources, and aggravation saved!!
