Sunday Surprises
As we walked into the building on Sunday there was a little surpise waiting for us...the sounds of dripping. To our dismay we discovered several areas of the ceiling leaking water (it had rained on Saturday). A quick scurry up the latter to the roof showed us a puddle over half the size of the roof that was 6 inches deep (oh dear!). Nigel came to help us out and him and Austin got the water draining out using a hose- which took several hours. We discovered the problem to be that the roof drain was clogged, which led to the pool of water, and also the seams in the rubber roofing were not done so well and did little to hold the pool of water from leaking inside. So, looks like the priorities may change a little- a new roof is now number one...never a dull moment with a building from the 1800's

Tonight Austin attempted to cut out a section of pipe to clean it out, but 5 metal blades later, he was unsuccessfull (that darn cast iron piping). He will re-attempt tomorrow.
Here's the guilty clogged pipe:

**Update** Here's the pipe after Austin made a new temporary fix, and now it drains well, no leaking since!
